Description

Group of 3 ship (Copenhagen) curves made by Keuffel & Esser Co., N.Y. No date, circa 1937-1955. Yellow tinted transparent plastic (Xylonite?) ranging from 17-5/8" to 24" long x circa 1-2" wide on curve. Each is stamped with company logo, name and catalog number. With: original printed paper packaging sleeve for each. Catalog numbers: 1864-38 1864-40 1864-48 Note the printed wrapper includes the 60 East 42nd St. store address. The sleeves have price stickers from Oregon State College Coop, Corvallis. Two have the legible price of $2.00 which would be a typical west coast price circa late 1930s into the 1950s. (1944 price east of the Rocky Mountains was $1.50 of nos. 38 and 40 and $1.20 for no. 48.) Oregon State College was so named in 1937 and renamed Oregon State University in 1961 which provides a date range for these curves. K+E factory was in Hoboken during the period of when they were made.
