Contents: Photograph of Hoboken Unit of the American Red Cross from World War I donated to Museum by Jean Eicks Holt via Mayor Patrick Pasculli. Letter to mayor describes her early Hoboken childhood, her father W. Lindley Eicks and mother Agnes Scott Eicks. Her mother appears in the photo in the rear row, fourth from left. Letter is transcribed along with inscription on reverse of photo. Photograph taken in studio of William Manewal, 520 Washington St. It appeared in 1927 book, "As They Passed Through the Port" written by Major General David C. Shanks from which an excerpt of text on page 187 is printed. pamphlet
