Hoboken Land & Improvement Company, Hoboken, Volume 1, Property Sheets, 1885. Bound volume, 27" high x 25" wide. Consists of hand drawn maps, paper mounted on linen, using several colors of ink and pencil, with numerous annotations, plus enclosures and attachments. Title page index map followed by 32 numbered leaves, 1 to 30-1/2, plus an additional enclosed map leaf of the same size. Numbered maps are not drawn to scale. See list below.
Map plan book, one of three volumes in the collection. Annotations, drawings, enclosures and attachments cover information dated from the 1840's to the 1920's. All numbered maps are rectos. On the verso of many of these drawings are holographic notes recording references to sketches, maps or deed books related to the next recto. The materials referred to in the notes are not in the museum's collections. At present these notes have not been imaged.
