Hotel Edwards. Painting by Theodore Tihanksy, (Hoboken, 2009.) Oil on canvas, 11" wide x 14" high. Frame: modern; composite wood; bright gilt finish; 16-3/4" wide x 19-3/4" high. Signed on painting, lower left: Tihansky. Reverse of canvas and frame is not marked.
View is northwest showing the exterior of the Hotel Edwards and the Scotland Yard Bar (at right, basement level of hotel building; flags and British telephone booth decor) at 72 Hudson St., Hoboken.
Title, location and date do not appear on piece, but they are known from this work being shown in his 2010 Upper Gallery exhibition at the Hoboken Historical Museum. Note artist is also known as Ted Tihansky.
