I.L.A. (International Longshoremen's Association) button, no place, no date, ca. 1940-50. 1-1/2" diameter. Prong back button (only 1 of 2 prongs present) mounted in brass-gold finish rope-edged finding that has a 1/4" ring for hanging or a sewing attachment.
The printed image is the I.L.A. banner. This item would be probably have been part of a larger ribbon badge for a union meeting or a public event such as a parade or rally.
