Scope and Content

K&E Measuring Tapes. Issued by the Keuffel & Esser Co., Hoboken, no date, circa 1920-1925. Pamphlet, 3-1/2" x 6-1/4" high, 16 pp. plus cover. Tapes for home, builders, carpenters etc.; does not include surveyor's or engineer's tapes or chains. Company name does appear on page 5, but not address or ordering information, thus this was likely a catalog to be used in a retail outlet. Not dated, but listed prices and available model numbers correspond with a 1920 price list (note a number of tapes were listed as discontinued in that price list and the product offerings here correlate to that list.) Page [1] notes: "Friction Brake. (pat. applied for)." This probably dates it more closely to 1920.
