Brass oval with engraved lettering in black, 2" high x 1-3/8" wide; pin clasp back; window with black-and-white photo (circa 7/8" wide x 1-1/2" high) of female employee taken at height board with employee number in image below (3921); clear plastic insert over photo.
The five-foot tall woman has not been identified yet.
While undated, her dress and hair appear of the period. Also K&E did significant work in Hoboken for the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy which probably required a formal photo identification for security purposes within the manufacturing complex.
Also note dimensions on the board behind her are in feet and inches such as '4'9' not '49'.
