Lipton Institutional Products. Catalog and recipe book issued by: Institutional Department, Thomas J. Lipton, Inc., 1500 Hudson Street, Hoboken, New Jersey. No date, circa 1958-1963. Booklet, 6-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" high, 64 pp including covers. Selected pages are imaged including back cover which has photo illustration showing the packaging for the institutional product line. Promotional publication by Lipton Tea for Lipton Institutional Soup Mixes and Flavor Boosters plus Lipton Tea products. Pages 9-58 have recipes in several categories. It may be considered as a cookbook, recipe book or as a catalogue although it does not have order forms or pricing. Company address appears on page [2] and back cover, page [64]. Cover text includes: Restaurants, School Cafeterias, Plant Cafeterias, Hospital Kitchens. Quality Controlled for Quality Service. Pages 56-57 promotes Lipton Tea, both hot and iced. States: New! Lipton Flo-thru tea bags. (This tea bag type was actually introduced in 1952 and certainly not new as of 1958.) Page 58 promotes Lipton Instant Tea, both hot and iced. States: New! Lipton Instant Tea. (The company introduced this product in 1958 - 1959 thus establishing that this publication was not issued earlier than 1958.) The company left Hoboken for Englewood Cliffs, N.J. in 1963.
