Door lock key stamped: Keys Made, Richard, 159 2nd St. Hoboken. No date, circa 1930s-1940s. Stamped and cut metal; model 1011 blank made by Independent Lock Co., Fitchburg, Mass.; 1-1/16" wide x 2-1/8" long.
Independent Lock Co. who made the key blank was located in Fitchburg from 1930 (although one source records it as 1926) to 1960. It is marked with the full company name. It used the brand 'ILCO' in later years, so it is likely that this one is from the 1930s into the 1940s.
