Matchbook covers, two: Duke's House, Helmers; Hoboken, no date, circa 1933-1945. Printed cardstock, size varies; inside blank. 1: Duke's House, Opposite Lackawanna R.R. Station 2: Chris Helmers Cafe, 1038[sic] Washington St. Restaurant was established 1936 and address was stated then as 1038 and presently as 1036. This is probably an early printing. This cafe featured German cuisine although it is not stated on the matchbook. It does have the german phrase - schönes Wetter (good summer or fine weather) - giving a clue to its
