Description
Hoboken Tercentenary Medal celebrating the 300th anniversary of the purchase of Hoboken (Hopaghan Hackingh) from the Lenni Lenape, Hoboken, 1930. Ca. 1-5/16" diameter silver medal with pin-back bar badge. Irregular diameter in wax-seal motif. All designs in relief with the City of Hoboken corporate seal on the front and a vignette of 4 Native Americans and three settlers on the river's edge on the back. Below the vignette is text that reads: 300th anniversary of the deeding of the land to Hoboken's first white settlers 1630-1930.
