Scope and Content

License for plumber Joseph F. Horrigan from The Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Hoboken, no date, circa 1890s. Printed certificate, 8-1/2" high x 11-3/8" wide, press numbered no. 49; perforation at left edge. Holographic entries and signed, but undated in all places where date should be entered. Curiously, the entry for address, "doing business at No.", is entered only as "Eighth." Signed by the Registrar, Henry Lohmann, Jr., and the board President, Henry Eggert.
