Port Security Card issued by the the United States Coast Guard to Charles H. Kosbab, Rigger, Bethlehem Steel Corp., June 1, 1962. Laminated card 3.5" high x 2.25" wide with head photo and signature on the front. Personal information, physical description, issue and expiration dates plus a fingerprint were on the back along with a validating signature. It is printed that it is for "Identification Only" and "Not A Pass."
Kosbab worked at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, Hoboken Division, 1942-1980. Part of the yard work was repair and overhaul of military vessels. The number on his photo is the Bethlehem Steel employee record number.
