The stamp and cachet were issued on the tenth anniversary of Sinatra's death. Although the post office cancellation is New York, NY 10199, a cememony for its issue was held in Hoboken and was attended by Frank Sinatra, Jr. (The main post office at 89 River St. in Hoboken was dedicated as Frank Sinatra Station on May 13, 2003.) No program or other souvenir was issued.
