Postal cachet: Hoboken Centennial 1855-1955. Hoboken Manufacturers Railroad Co., Hoboken, New Jersey. Postmarked Hoboken, March 28, 1955. Addressed to: B. Melvin Kiernan, 825 Hudson St., Hoboken, N.J. Dark tan envelope printed in back ink, 3-5/8" x 6-1/2" wide. Sealed, no content. The centennial logo appears on the stamp with the added imprint of the Superintendent. The logo was done by Demarest High School student Eugene Romo, whose design won a contest "sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Hoboken, N.J." (which is beneath the logo.)
