Description
Postcard: [Hoboken Shore Railroad, Jersey GE locomotive.] No issue date, circa late 1990's or later; unposted. Divided back. 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" wide.
Published by www.railcards.com, Alameda, CA. Stock number B39.
Text on back: "Hoboken Shore RR GE 44-Ton switcher #700 plied the industrial spurs and docks along the Jersey Harbors across the bay from Manhattan. This view was taken in 1975, before Hoboken started it new revival."
View appears to have been taken in the railyards near Fifteenth Street and Park Avenue. In the left background is possibly what was then the U.S.Testing Company building.
