Description
Postcard: Holland-America Line. T.S.S. New [Nieuw] Amsterdam. 17250 Tons Register. 31000 Tons Displacement. No date, circa 1920's; unposted. Divided back.
No publisher stated; probably printed for the line in the Netherlands.
Artist's view of the ocean liner S.S. Nieuw Amsterdam depicted in a harbor which is possibly New York harbor as suggested by the skyline; the steamer to the right (Henrick Hudson, probably the Henry Hudson) and the name on the vessel on the card as "New Amsterdam" rather than its actual name "Nieuw Amsterdam."
