Postcard: Steven's Castle - Hoboken, N.J. Stephen Foster Celebration - June 5, 1954. Hoboken, 1954, later issue, printed 1963 or later (see below); unposted.
Divided back.
Published by Koerber Post Card Co. MW21.
View is of the western exterior of the house with chairs set up on the lawn, bunting on the porch as well as a lettered sign at the main entry.
In addition to the text above about this centennial ceremony which is all on the back of the card: A resident of Hoboken 1854-1856. During this time he wrote "Jeanie with the light brown hair". Decorations by United [Decorating Co.] 421 Washington St., Hoboken, 07030.
While the image is from 1954, the address zip code (introduced in 1963) would indicate that this card was a later re-issue by United Decorating probably for promotional use and retail stock.
