Not strictly a transportation ticket, but used in conjunction with a purchased fare which was then a token. Ten cents is the fare stated on the back.
Printed paper, two sides, 2-1/16" x 4-11/16" wide; punched as used. Serial number C 207239. Printed by Rand, McNally & Company, N.Y. Coupon issued at Journal Square.

CONDITIONS This coupon is evidence that ten cents has been prepaid by passenger at the JERSEY CITY or HOBOKEN, N. J., station on the date and at the time indicated hereon. It is redeemable for FIVE CENTS if presented to the Company's Agent within THIRTY MINUTES AFTER PASSENGER'S ARRIVAL, by next direct or connecting train, at the Exit at ANY OTHER JERSEY CITY or HOBOKEN station ONLY. FIVE CENTS is retained by this Company as the legal fare for one local ride between any of its stations in JERSEY CITY and, or, HOBOKEN, N. J. This coupon is not good for passage, is not transferable, is not redeemable in New York, and is void if altered or defaced.
