Description
Ribbon badge for Official Challenger for Democratic Freeholder Primary Election, [Hoboken?], June 8, 1969. Green (faded) satin ribbon, 2" wide x 6-1/2" long with type imprinted in dull gold. (Reverse is also shown to display area which is less faded and closer to the original color.)
Type reads: Official Challenger | Clark, Jr. | De Pascale | Wojtycha | Freeholders | Regular Democratic Organization | Primary Election | June 8, 1969 | Issued by Hudson Co. | Board of Elections.
Although Hoboken is not stated (it was a county wide election), it is probable that this badge belonged to a local resident assisting as a challenger. De Pascale was Louis De Pascale, former councilman and at this time Mayor of Hoboken.
