Digital image of sepia-tone photo of British Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery with dignitaries at western toll plaza of the Lincoln Tunnel, Weehawken, N.J., no date, circa 1950-1953. Original print 8" x 10" high. Reverse was blank. Photographer not indicated. The other men are not identified.
View is north. Note light tower at the upper right corner which establishes the location. The late date: Montgomery was known to have been in North America in April, 1953 for the opening of an elementary school in Canada named for him; information on other visits not researched.
