Description
Sepia tone photograph of Michael Riccio of Hoboken, Hoboken(?), no date, circa 1907-1918.
Digital images only scanned 2013 with accompany note. High resolution tiffs media archive. Reference print on file.
See notes for transcription of recollection by donor, great-granddaughter Cheryl Petrignani Bracht.
Riccio is seen pouring a drink from a bottle and appears very prosperous. An enhanced image is also shown with retouching that removed some of the creases.
The original item was a real photo Azo postcard with the typical imprinted reverse. (Divided back thus 1907 and later; Azo block has diamonds at all four corners pointing up which dates it generally between 1904-1918.) Photographer not indicated.
Reverse had penciled note: Riccio, 634 Grand St.; holographic ink number, circled: 347.
The address of 634 Grand was where Ralph Riccio has his pool hall. It presumably was part of the family real estate holdings.

Michael Riccio
This photograph is of my Mother Geraldine Petrignani's Grandfather Michael Riccio. My Great Grandfather owned real estate in Hoboken at the turn of the century. It was said in the family that he owned the first automobile in Hoboken.
Sadly like many others of the time, he lost a lot of what he had in the stock market crash [1929?] Unfortunately this is the only photograph I have of him, which is not in great condition.
Thank you for the interest,
Cheryl Petrignani Bracht
