Certification of Good Conduct for Erwin Fuchs, issued by the Police Dept. of Sopron in 1938. There is a green postage stamp in the upper left quadrant and a circular purple stamp centered at the bottom of the form. Fuchs requested the document before leaving for the Foreign Legion in 1939. Fuchs noted that this caused a bit of "merriment" from the recruiting officer who stated, "This is the FIRST time I see somebody joining the Legion with a Good Conduct Certificate from the Police".
