An undated letter produced using a computer from Elka (Russell) to Eva Ballin Ansell. Postmark on envelope is 14 Sep 2001 (see ObjectID 538.110.4.2023). The letter mentions that Elka and a colleague Insa have tried to translate Eva's German note but were unable to decipher all of the words. However, they were able to translate the portion of the note that deals with how the "Ballin" family name originated.
