Handwritten letter to Herr Ballin on cream-colored Dampfer Kronprinz Wilhelm letterhead. The letter is dated 9 Mar 1904. There is a small flag in the upper left corner of the stationary with an anchor, key, and olive leaves in the center of a white field. The letter may relate to the Ballin furniture Co. taking over the outfitting of the Hamburg Shipping Line. Ludwig's brother, Robert, took the business over from their brother Martin. Envelope is addressed to Robert and Martin (see ObjectID 538.280.2.2025).
