B&W photo from Erwin Fuchs' time on reserve duty with a machine gun company. Four soldiers are pictured crouched in a grassy field behind a small rise--one is crouched behind a machine gun, the two behind him are wearing gas masks, and the fourth kneels on the far side of the gun staring intently.
