B&W photo of Erwin Fuchs on R&R from the British Army in Naples, Italy, 1945. He is posing barefoot, arms by his side, directly facing the camera on a flat patch of dirt in front of a hippodrome. A thin tree trunk is visible behind him and another, larger, leafed out tree is cut off on the left edge of the photo. His white swim trunks are waist high and are secured by a decorative rope belt with a metal clasp at his waist; the trunks are cut high up on his thighs. He has a watch on his left wrist. The notation, "Naples R&R 1945" is written in blue-green ink on the back in the upper right corner. There's a stray pencil mark on the back as well.
