Sepia-toned studio portrait of WWI soldier, hair parted in middle, wire-rimmed oval glasses, moustache; circular medal on chest; reverse says "1917" and "Lulu" (=Ludwig, Eva Ballin Ansell's father). There is a light signature diagonally across the lower right corner, which may be the name of the studio, or not.
