Description

"201. Down the Line," Alexander's Studio, Camp Baldy, California, ca. 1920. The view by Daniel P. Alexander is of a row of tents on wood foundations with a groomed path in front of the accommodations and trees nearby. The postally used card was purchased by artist Albert Clinton Conner, who stayed in the camp in late August 1920, is addressed on the 20th to his wife in Manhattan Beach and it notes "this is the street on which I am now living." With slight warping, a few light stains and light soiling, the condition is good.
