"10,000 ACRES OF ORANGE GROVES, SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, CAL."
Color: Black; White
A black and white lantern slide titled "10,000 acres of Orange Groves, San Gabriel Valley, Cal.," manufactured by the Keystone View Company, 1909. The view shows many rows of groves and other scattered trees that seem to cover most of the valley to the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains in the distance. At the foreground left are two rocky outcroppings. In the background, at right, is a small rocky hill. The Keystone name is at the left with the location of its Meadville factory, while the caption is on white paper at the right, including the identification numbers "237" and "13546." With some surface soiling at the paper border edges, some fingerprint stains, and small tears at the bottom corners of the border, the overall condition is good.
