2007.116.1.1Description
Cabinet photograph, "102. San Gabriel Mission, Los Angeles, Calif." by F. H. Maude, 1890s. The image, taken from Mission Drive to the south of the mission, shows a small portion of the rectory at the left, the belfry, and the length of the south wall of the old church. There are some walls, wood fencing, pepper trees, palms, and other landscaping. At the far right a man leans on a section of wood fence. The title and photographer's name are in white letters at the bottom. On the reverse is a pencil inscription, "Los Angeles." With some fading, mount edge rubbing, a stain at the right of the belfry, and pest damage and staining to the reverse, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
