"1031 Carmelita Grounds, Pasadena, Cal.," probably by Parker, ca. 1900. The image shows some of the famed landscpaing on the grounds of the residence called "Carmelita," which is now the location of the Norton Simon Museum of Art. There are pencil inscriptions on the sleeve, including that the famed novel "Ramona" was written at the site. The name "Mrs. Jeanne C. Carr" and dates "1880-90" are there, as are "John Muir" and the inititals "H.H.H." Because negative 1030 is from Parker, it is assumed this is as well. While the sleeve is in two pieces and very fragile, the negative appears to be in good condition.
