A real photo postcard, "128 Big Pines L.A. County Recreation Camp," ca. late 1920s. The view shows some picnic tables, stone grilles with firewood stacked next to them, and a stone fire pit in a gently rolling area amidst pine trees in the San Gabriel Mountains camp west of Wrightwood. A message on the reverse of the unused card notes the writer had a picnic there, but when there was snow. The photographer's name is by the caption, but is hard to make out (perhaps Lanier or Larsen.) With soiling and minor rubbing, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
