"1882 — A Carload of Mammoth Navel Oranges From California," Edward H. Mitchell, San Francisco, ca. 1900s. The image purports to show a small boy, perhaps six or seven years old, standing on an open Southern Pacific rail platform car with a pair of oranges twice his height and several feet in diameter, while in the background is an orange grove. The unused card has light soiling, browning, and rubbing and is in good overall condition.
