Description
"226067 San Gabriel Valley Calif. Silver fox farm of R. T. Moore, a General view of the farm," published by International Newsreel Corp., ca. 1925. The photo actually is at Robert T. Moore's silver fox ranch at Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains and shows a large fenced-in area of pens containing the animals in a clearing among pine trees. Moore was a successful Maine silver fox breeder who opened the ranch about 1922. On the reverse is the pencil inscription with the title. There is also a stamp from the publisher. See item 2007.13.1.1 for a related image. With some stains, soiling, and edge wear, the condition is fair.
