Description

23 PLATES FROM "COMPLETE REPORT ON CONSTRUCTION OF THE LOS ANGELES AQUEDUCT" Color: Black; White Twenty-three plates accompanying the "Complete Report on Construction of the Los Angeles Aqueduct," published by the Department of Public Service, City of Los Angeles, 1916. The variously-sized plates include geographical sections, maps, plans and cross-sections, plans and topographies, and charts of such things as the rainfall and flow of the Los Angeles River, and other illustrations. These are listed on an index of maps and profiles at the front of the book. Also separate and from the same pocket of these plates is a large map of southern California showing the aqueduct's route, this being .3 of the accession. The condition is good in general, with some items having acid burns, others light creases, some having browning, all having original folds, and some having tears.
