2007.131.1.1Description
"3064. Mission Church, Los Angeles," likely Payne, Stanton and Company, ca. 1882. The view, which may be earlier, is taken from Main Street in front of the Pico House hotel, and captures the front facade and tower of the church, as well as the high wall behind which was the cemetery. There are two posts in the center near the street, as well. The caption is at the bottom right. With soiling and stains, as well as some heavy edge rubbing and damage to the matte on both sides, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
