"3077 Fort St., Los Angeles," by Payne, Stanton & Co., ca. 1882. The view is taken from about Poundcake Hill looking to the south and west. Fort Street runs through most of the image, with Hill Street being partially visible to the right, as is a section of Bunker Hill. The area is primarily residential, with the Fort Street Methodist Episcopal Church, seen in accession number 2007.42.1.2, at the upper left. With a brown stain at the right image, soiling, and edge rubbing on the mount, the condition is good overall.Lexicon
