Description

Color: Black; Blue; Green; Purple; White "Better Homes & Gardens," January 1929 issue, published by the Meredith Publishing Company. The front cover has the date and cost at the top with the title in large letters below. A color image of the exterior of a house in a winter scene, with snow on the ground and bare trees, among other elements, encompasses most of the cover. The publisher's name and location are at the bottom. There are many articles in the publication touching on interior decoration, gardening, home remodeling, cooking, architecture, leisure activities, and some short stories. The work is heavily illustrated with drawings and photographs and there are many advertisements related to domestic life. In good condition, the periodical has light spine rubbing, cover creases, dents at the corners, surface soiling, page yellowing, a fold at the top right corner, losses at the spine, a stamp at the back cover top left, holes near the spine from removed staples, and tears at the top and bottom of the spine.
