"40. Panorama of Los Angeles. Section 2," Henry T. Payne and Company, ca. 1875. The view appears to be at the lower end of Bunker Hill looking north and east. Spring and Main streets appear to be at the right lined by churches and a hotel. The street in the foreground might be one of the numbered streets, perhaps Fourth or Fifth.. The margins of the mount have the photographer's name and series name of "Semi-Tropical California Scenery." With heavy soiling and staining, including on the image, heavy edge wear to the mount, and some missing portions of the image, though not affecting the view much, the condition is poor.
