"521. Steamers Mineola and San Mateo Unloading Coal at S. P. Mammoth Wharf Port Los Angeles, Cal," by H. F. Rile, ca. 1895. Taken from a boat in the water, the view captures the loading docks, structures and two vessels at one side, as well as much of the pier back toward the beach, at which the palisades are notable. Two buoys are also in the water between the photographer and the wharf. With losses to the bottom right corner and rubbing to the matte, but a generally clean image, the overall condition is good.
