"Los Angeles. Birds Eye View," by E. J. Hayward, Santa Barbara, ca. 1875. The view is from Bunker Hill looking northwest. In the distance is Los Angeles High School on Fort Moore Hill and the clocktower of the Market House/Courthouse, though most structures in the immediate area are residential and the immediate foreground is bare hillside. The title is written in ink at the lower right while the photographer's stamp is on the reverse. With fading, soiling and some damage on the images and soiling, staining and edge rubbing on the mount, the condition is fair to good.Lexicon
