"80. Olive Orchard," by William M. Godfrey, Los Angeles, ca. 1870. The image shows a couple or more mature olive trees behind some cacti, which, in turn, are behind a fence that is part decaying adobe wall and wooden fence. On the wooden fence of the left image is the identification number in black ink, but the location is unknown. The reverse has two ink inscriptions and a preprinted stamp "From Godfrey's / Photographic View Rooms / Los Angeles, Cal." With edge rubbing and soiling on the matte, but the image clean and clear, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
