"83. Orange Orchard," W. N. Tuttle, ca. 1870s. The view shows two rows of mature orange trees stretching out into the horizon with the photographer standing in the aisle between the two. The location is unknown, but assumed to be in the Los Angeles area, specifically the San Gabriel Valley, then the center of the growing industry. There is soiling on the image and and some light edge rubbing to the mount, but the condition is good.Lexicon
