A billhead from Polaski and Goodwin of Los Angeles to William S. Chapman, 15 January 1876. The item lists transactions, though most don't seem to be purchases, but appear to involve payments to Chapman and others on credit with a beginning balance of just over $12,000 rising to nearly $14,400, though a payment from him of $9,200 reduced the balance. With folds, a large stain on the reverse, much creasing and light soiling, the overall condition is good.
