Description

A black and white building, possibly the home of the Romero family, on the southeastern area of the Homestead, ca. 1920s. A reproduction photo of the same image was cataloged previously with information stating that the building was possibly the residence of the Joe Romero, though other images in the collection show the same home as that of Frank and May Romero's home, along with their children Doris and Jack. Joe was the father of Frank Romero and Maude Bassity. Frank was the ranch foreman and Maude was the housekeeper for the family. Joe was known for his cooking skills, particularly his barbeque meats. With moderate warping, minor crease on bottom, right corner, acid burn on the reverse and a stamp of "20" it is in good condition overall.
