Description

A black and white cabinet card photograph of what is presumed to be an Oakland Traction Company car and two conductors in the field, ca. 1910s. The view shows the car, marked with signs at the front and side that read "Hollis Street" and "14th Street" respectively and lettering reading "186" and "O.T." as well, parked on the track in an area with a large house behind it at the right and open space at the far right. Two conductors stand on the steps at the front and back of the car, both of which are open with a central closed in section. The streets and lettering of "O.T." are likely for the Oakland streetcar line, rather than Los Angeles, as represented by the seller. With staining at the top, especially the left, soiling and mount stains, soiling, rubbing and glue residue, the condition is fair.
