Description
A black and white cabinet card photograph, "West Lake Park & Hotel L.A. Cal #330," Munsey, Los Angeles, ca. 1900s. Taken from a grass area near the shore of the park's lake, the view looks across to the Shoreham Hotel, a large three-story hostelry on a bluff overlooking the park, as well as to a gazebo with rustic fencing perched at the water's edge. Trees, grass, walks and other landscape elements are of note, as are portions of some nearby houses near the hotel. As unmounted, with small stains at the top right, light soiling and minimal abrasions and moderate warping, the overall condition is good.
