Description

A black and white cabinet photo of three women and a horse-drawn carriage in front of a Los Angeles house, M.B. Howard, ca. 1900s. The view is from across the street and shows the single-horse-drawn conveyance parked along the curb with the driver at the reins. The women stand behind the iron fence in the expansive yard of the large Queen Anne residence. There is a lawn, a curved driveway, palm and pepper trees and other elements. The house has bay windows, two brick chimneys, steep gables, and an unusual corner section at which the entry is located. Howard's stamp is on the reverse. With stains, slight fading, soiling, rubbing and creases, the overall condition is fair.
