Description
A black and white panoramic photograph of employees at Southland Home Laundry, Los Angeles, Larry O'Dell, 15 April 1930. There are about 100 persons posed in four rows, in front of a structure, assumed to be the laundry. The two men wearing suits and standing at the center are probably the owners and/or proprietors, while most of those present are women, who probably did the cleaning and pressing work. There are two black men and one black woman, a number of Latinos, and mostly white persons. The business name and city are inscribed at the top and the date and photographer's information are at the bottom left. The image is heavily creased with warping as it was rolled up. Also there are stains on the reverse, light soiling, and a few large creases with one torn, the condition is good to fair.
